Pre-sentence credit

From the time a defendant had been arrested and up until sentencing for that charge, they can be held in custody if it is determined by the Judge, per court order, and/or by a bail order.

Any time spent in custody for each specific charge reduces the amount of time that person will spend in prison, if found guilty.
