A live operator assistance is always available to address your questions.     Hawaiʻi SAVIN, is a service provided by the Department of Public Safety and supported by victim witness assistance programs throughout the State.    Please do not depend solely on this program for your protection. Maintain contacts with your advocate, attorney, or law enforcement officers assigned to your case. An offender will never know if you are registered for notification.    Although every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided by Hawaiʻi SAVIN, the State of Hawaii, the Department of Public Safety, and the VINE Service make no express or implied warranty as to the accuracy, adequacy, completeness, legality, or reliability of the information.

Post-Conviction Victim Advocacy Program

After an offender is sentenced to prison, they may be eligible for parole. Parole is granted and controlled by the Hawaiʻi Paroling Authority and lets the person who caused the harm to serve a part of their sentence in the community. If you or someone you know is worried about the person who caused them harm receiving parole, the Post-Conviction Victim Advocacy Program (PCVAP) can help.      The PCVAP can help you understand your rights during the parole process, sign up for automated victim notifications and follow up, help with collecting restitution, plan your safety and give information and referrals to community services.
