Their office provides support and assistance to crime victims through the following services:

• Information and updates about your case
• Explain the judicial process
• Referrals to community agencies
• Crisis and short term counseling
• Court accompaniment
• Property Returns
• Determine if you want to be consulted and advised about plea offers by the deputy prosecuting attorney (this applies only if you are a victim of a felony or surviving family member)
• Applying for Crime Victim Compensation
• Requesting restitution
• Preparing a Victim Impact Statement
• Obtaining witness fees
• Registering for automated victim notification or offender release

Victim/Witness Program does not assist with civil matters such as obtaining restraining orders, child custody, and divorce
