All agency offers unique services and may service specific victim populations. All information is current and approved by agencies listed. Domestic Violence Action Center: Legal Services
Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC) provides legal representation or consultations at the initiation of court proceedings, during ongoing court proceedings for ongoing court and/or paternity proceedings. DVAC Legal services also provides legal representation and/or consultations for Divorce and temporary restraining order/order for protection actions. If the case is an ongoing case, the attorney must have sufficient time to prepare for any hearings or trials so that they may provide effective counsel. Usually legal representation will not be provided if trial or Order to Show Cause hearing has already commenced in a Temporary Restraining Order/Order of Protection proceeding. Cost: Depends on the case. In most cases where legal representation is being requested, there is a fee schedule.

Their office provides support and assistance to crime victims through the following services: Information and updates about your case Explain the judicial process Referrals to community agencies Crisis and short term counseling Court accompaniment Property Returns Determine if you want to be consulted and advised about plea offers by the deputy prosecuting attorney (this applies only if you are a victim of a felony or surviving family member) Applying for Crime Victim Compensation Requesting restitution Preparing a Victim Impact Statement Obtaining witness fees Registering for automated victim notification or offender release

Women Helping Women: Shelter Program
If you or someone you know is in need of help, please call Women Helping Women's 24-Hour Emergency Hotline at # (808) 579-9581, If it’s an emergency call 911. Getting out of an abusive or violent relationship isn’t easy. Maybe you’re still hoping that things will change or you’re afraid of what your partner will do if he discovers you’re trying to leave. Whatever your reasons, you probably feel trapped and helpless. But help is available. There are many resources available for abused and battered women, including crisis hotlines, shelters—even job training, legal services, and childcare. You deserve to live free of fear. At Mothers Against Drunk Driving, we’re focused on one goal: ending impaired driving for good. Since our founding, we've served as a lifeline for thousands of victims and survivors, and drunk driving fatalities have been cut in half — but we refuse to stop there. Together, we can end this 100% preventable crime.

Parents and Children Together (PACT): Lanaʻi Integrated Services
The Lanai Integrated Support Services System program provides comprehensive child abuse and neglect services to assist biological, extended, foster and adopted families to provide a safe and nurturing home for their children and promote and support healthy families on the island of Lanai. Referrals are accepted from the community, other agencies as well as Child Welfare Services (CWS). The program offers the ability to accept referrals and crisis calls 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Parents and Children Together (PACT): Mauʻi Family Peace Center
The Goal of the Mauʻi Family Peace Center (Maui FPC) is to bring peace to Hawaiʻi's families by offering safety, support, and empowerment to victims/survivors and their children exposed to domestic violence, and accountability to offenders. Mauʻi FPC has been conducting domestic violence services on Mauʻi since 1994.

Parents and Children Together (PACT): Domestic Violence Shelter and Transitional Program
ʻOhiʻa Shelter offers a safe and confidential facility on Oʻahu for survivors and their children who can no longer remain in their homes because of danger from domestic violence. Crisis support is available 24/7. Trained staff assist survivors with safety, future life-planning and generate referrals for housing, legal assistance and medical needs. After the devastation of a lava flow, the ʻOhiʻa is one of the first plants that appear. It is delicate and hardy and survives the harshest of climates. "ʻOhiʻa" is our metaphor for the women and children who come to us for safety. Domestic violence affects people from all socio-economic, ethnic and religious backgrounds. Although almost anyone can be a victim of domestic violence, women are the most common victims. In homes where domestic violence occurs, children are also at high risk for physical, verbal and mental abuse.

Parents and Children Together (PACT): Oʻahu Family Peace Center
The goal of the Oʻahu Family Peace Center (FPC) is to bring peace to Hawaiʻi's families by offering an environment that promotes safety, support, and accountability to offenders, survivors and their children. Oahu FPC has been conducting domestic violence counseling for over 25 years and offers a comprehensive community-based program that includes prevention and intervention services.

Hawaiʻi State Coalition Against Domestic Violence
The Hawai‘i State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (HSCADV) advances the safety and healing of victims, survivors and their families. They are the collective voice of a diverse network of organizations and individuals, working to eliminate all forms of domestic violence in Hawai‘i. HSCADV is a nonprofit organization and a statewide partnership of domestic violence programs and shelters. They are not a direct service provider.

YWCA Kauaʻi: Clinical Program
YWCA Kauaʻi strives to improve the emotional, mental, and behavioral wellness of our community. Counseling helps survivors to address the traumatic impact that violence has had on their families, as well as to secure long-term therapeutic interventions. Their therapists are licensed marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors or social workers, or Master's level therapists working under the supervision of licensed therapists. We provide trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally-sensitive therapy services in a safe and confidential environment. Our therapists specialize in issues relating to family and/or sexual violence, namely intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and sexual abuse. YWCA Kauaʻi launched the Sexual Assault Treatment Program in 1982 and the Sex Abuse Treatment Program in 1995.

Child & Family Service (CFS): West Hawaiʻi Island
Child and Family Service (CFS) meets families where they are in life and connects with them in the neighborhoods where they live and work. Through nearly 50 programs statewide, CFS offers services on Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, Mauʻi County, and Hawaiʻi Island. As an innovative nonprofit leader, CFS designs services that ensure the highest positive impact for our program participants. Their culturally informed programs are proven effective through research. Through their talented and dedicated team, they then partner with individuals and families to provide them with the tools and resources they need to create meaningful and lasting change in their own lives.

YWCA Kauaʻi: Family Violence Shelter
Is someone hurting you? YWCA Kauaʻi can help. No one deserves to be abused. Admitting the truth about your abusive relationship is an important first step in getting out and ending the cycle of violence. It’s not your fault, and you are not alone. People who understand the unique difficulties that victims of domestic violence face are available to help you. County of Hawaiʻi Office of the Prosecuting Attorney: Victim Assistance Unit
Their mission is to pursue justice with integrity and commitment. Their staff are committed to making a difference in the fight against crime through effective prosecution strategies. Effective prosecution strategies include: seeking accountability for those who violate the law in our county, providing assistance to those impacted by criminal conduct and working with the community to solve crime related problems. In doing so, the County of Hawaiʻi Office of the Prosecuting Attorney provides a variety of services to keep Hawaiʻi County safe and healthy. The information contained on their website is designed to provide you with a general understanding of many of those services.

Department of Public Safety: State-Automated Victim Information and Notification System (SAVIN)
Hawaiʻi SAVIN offers victims and concerned citizens free, anonymous, and confidential access to timely information and notification 24-hours a day, 365 days a year on the custody and parole status of offenders under the jurisdiction of the State Of Hawaii’s Department of Public Safety. Registered users will receive notification via email, text, and/or phone call. A live operator assistance is always available to address your questions. Hawaiʻi SAVIN, is a service provided by the Department of Public Safety and supported by victim witness assistance programs throughout the State. Please do not depend solely on this program for your protection. Maintain contacts with your advocate, attorney, or law enforcement officers assigned to your case. An offender will never know if you are registered for notification. Although every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided by Hawaiʻi SAVIN, the State of Hawaii, the Department of Public Safety, and the VINE Service make no express or implied warranty as to the accuracy, adequacy, completeness, legality, or reliability of the information.

Women Helping Women: Transitions Program
The Transitions Program has been providing a broad range of services and support to homeless, formerly battered women and their children since 1999. The purpose of the program is to help women obtain and retain permanent housing and to achieve self-sufficiency as they move from homelessness, emergency shelter or other temporary housing into long-term residential stability. The Transitions Program provides case management, intake, needs assessment, advocacy, educational and support programs and referrals. A significant and vital component of the program has been rental assistance. Many of the women in this program are homeless because of domestic violence.

Department of Public Safety: Hawaiʻi Paroling Authority
If a defendant convicted of a felony crime is not sentenced to a term of probation, the Hawaiʻi Paroling Authority will conduct a hearing within six months of the sentencing date to determine the minimum number of years the defendant will have to serve in prison before being eligible to be released on parole status. The prosecuting attorney has the right to appear at the hearing to present written and oral arguments regarding the seriousness of the offense(s), impact on the victims, and the defendant's dangerousness to the community. The minimum term hearing is also open for victims or surviving immediate family members to attend. A victim / witness counselor will be available to accompany family members to the hearing.

Residential Youth Services & Empowerment (RYSE)
Residential Youth Services & Empowerment (RYSE) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating a youth access center and shelter services in Kailua, Oahu. From 8am to 8pm seven days a week, youth ages 14–24 can use our drop-in services free of charge. Their goal is to provide safety and help youth get off the streets, so that they can live and thrive as healthy, happy young adults.

Women In Need
Since 1996, Women In Need (WIN) has been serving Hawaiʻi's community by assisting women and their families with transitional housing and other services. Their mission, "empowering Hawaii's families to lead healthy and full lives" provides the framework for our organization to give women and children a safe place to live while implementing programs to help them develop and maintain self-sufficiency. They believe in holistic healing to serve women with a history of domestic violence, substance abuse and incarceration. As each person walks through our doors for a positive life, we work with them, one-on-one, to achieve their goals.

Post-Conviction Victim Advocacy Program
After an offender is sentenced to prison, they may be eligible for parole. Parole is granted and controlled by the Hawaiʻi Paroling Authority and lets the person who caused the harm to serve a part of their sentence in the community. If you or someone you know is worried about the person who caused them harm receiving parole, the Post-Conviction Victim Advocacy Program (PCVAP) can help. The PCVAP can help you understand your rights during the parole process, sign up for automated victim notifications and follow up, help with collecting restitution, plan your safety and give information and referrals to community services.

Hoʻola Na Pua
Hoʻola Na Pua serves an Islands-wide and national need through Health, Education, Advocacy, and Reintegration. Their staff, board of directors, and volunteers work tirelessly, networking and collaborating with political figures, the justice system, law enforcement, social services, faith-based communities, state licensing institutions, foundations, health care professionals, and other community members in Hawaii who share our mission to create bright futures for youth and their families. Hoʻōla Nā Pua (New Life for Our Children) was founded to shine light into dark voids of violation, placing the health of Hawaiʻi’s youth at the center of our mission and our vision for our community. We are committed to the prevention of child sex trafficking and providing care for children who have been exploited. HNP is dedicated to creating a community where children are safe and have the ability to embrace their bright futures. Today, not only does HNP offer integrated programming that reaches over thousands of youth and community members and stakeholders across the state of Hawaiʻi annually, but is considered a national partner and a rising standard in the global effort to stop sex trafficking, permanently.

Domestic Violence Action Center makes a difference in the lives of island families, children, marginalized communities across the State. They meet survivors on their journey. They educate the community. They encourage youth to learn about healthy relationships. They speak to the press about this complex, costly problem. State of Hawaiʻi Department of the Attorney General: Victim Services
The Victim Services Program handles criminal cases that have been conflicted from other counties. Anyone who is the victim of a crime prosecuted by this office can receive assistance. VASH Hawaiʻi Island
VASH's Mission is to share the Aloha spirit with visitors affected by adversity. Even though vacations are supposed to be happy times, sometimes unfortunate events happen. When far from home, visitors often do not have access to their own support systems and resources. VASH assistance is designed to help visitors cope with and recover from a variety of unfortunate situations, i.e. lost documents, crime, medical emergencies, or death of a loved one. VASH receives referrals from the Hawaiʻi County Police Department, local hospitals, airport security and others. VASH evaluates each situation individually and offer appropriate support services. Volunteers are the heart of VASH. The services to visitors are made possible through the generous contribution of time and talents from a diverse group of trained and compassionate volunteers. With their help and aloha, VASH assists in hundreds of visitors each year.

Department of Public Safety: Restitution and Victim Services (RAVS)
The Department of Public Safety (PSD), Restitution and Victim Services (RAVS) office provides information, support, and referral assistance to crime victims and the general public. RAVS is also responsible for processing court-ordered restitution deductions from inmates while they are incarcerated. RAVS works closely with the correctional facilities to ensure that restitution is sent timely to the Crime Victim Compensation Commission (CVCC) for payment to victims.

Maui County Prosecutor’s Office: Victim/Witness Program
The Victim Witness Assistance Division was started in 1982 as a unit of the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney. The division is a part of the state-wide network of victim / witness services provided under the guidelines of the State Attorney General. The division's purpose is to help ensure that victims and witnesses are treated with compassion, dignity, understanding and respect by the criminal justice system.
